I borrowed my adorable cousin, Lily, to take a few fun pictures of to get to know my camera better. She is a total character, lots of spunk, and very fun! I haven't seen Bryndee (her wonderful mother and most handy photo assistant on the planet) since, so I'm posting a few unretouched just so she (and the family who cares) can sneek a peek. Thanks Beth and Aaron. Nope, it's the same camera (cannon rebel xti) that I've had for nearly 2 years. I'm just tired of not knowing how to use it! I would love to find a class/classes to take. It seems like a natural outlet for the artistic genius that I am. ha ha. Seeing that you both are great behind the lense, I'll take your thumbs up with humility and gratitude. I'd LOVE pointers or suggestions of books, etc. Gracias!
I started with getting all the material and assignments from Katie's brother's college class. Since then I've read about every instructional book I can get my hands on from the library on my bus rides to and from work; boring but what else can you do on a bus for an hour? Katie thinks I'm a little obsessive for buying magazines just to analyze the ad photos and staying up until 2am trying lighting techniques in the basement. She might be right... but it's fun.
Wow! That is one cute girl! I think she is my favorite three year old! Thank you so much Heather! YOU are AWESOME! I Know Lily had so much fun! I can't wait to see the rest and love them up.

Wowwwww! First of all she is adorable and quite photogenic and second you are amazing with that camera of yours! I would really like to learn to be a better photographer, but I do have limitations with my camera and Heath said I probably need a better one to do what I want...so way to go and Yes, I am jealous!
Great job! I am still trying to figure out my camera. I have the same camera, lens 50mm 1.4. I like it, but have quite a few on my wish list.
Right now I am looking at Sheye Rosemeyer's online course. I LOVE HER WORK. Once I get photoshop, I have her actions on my wish list as well :)
